hrrrthrrr:

It’s beginning to feel a lot like summer here in California and I’m lucky enough to have a Meyer lemon tree in the backyard of my work space. So the other day  I went and picked a bunch of lemons to see if I could come up with a tasty lemonade. Here’s the results…
Simple Syrup Recipe
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 vanilla bean (cut in half lengthwise, seeds removed, pod reserved)
8-10 cut strawberries
Instructions
Place the strawberries and vanilla in a pot along with the water and sugar.  Bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer until the strawberries break down, the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens slightly (about 5 minutes). Place syrup in the refrigerator to cool. You can choose whether or not you want to strain out the strawberry chunks.
Squeeze your lemons till you get about 2-3 cups of juice (strained).  I used about 8-10 lemons. Now here’s where you get to experiment. I started with 2 cups of lemon juice, 3 cups of water and 1 cup of simple syrup.  I then added more of each to taste. Depending on how you like your lemonade (and how tart your lemons are), you can add additional juice, water, vanilla, or simple syrup to your liking. Stick in the refrigerator to cool and enjoy over ice!
(Note: I noticed that after cooling and setting in my refrigerator, my lemons were slightly tarter so I added a bit of water to it before serving. Oh and the bottles are from Ikea or online here.)

Did your heart just melt? Yeah, mine too. I want a baby girl just so I can share this little item with her!
Wood Statement Necklace
Researching wood jewelry and I came across this gem. I couldn’t wear it myself, but I think it is fantastic!A Pair And A Spare - Ombre Dye Shirt
Don’t know about you, but I really do like the effect of ombre. I have brunette/blonde ombre hair, which I love.. especially when the blonde ends are contrasted against my roots in an up-do.

Mollie Makes & Others - Egg Warmers
Just in time for easter, these adorable collection of egg warmers were on Mollie Makes’ Monday Moodboard (try saying that 10 times over really quickly after 4 pints of beer).
1. White egg warmers with funny yellow poms by imali @etsy
2. Eggstremely Cosey Set, a knitting pattern by Corinne Frieden @ravelry
3. Campervan Egg Cosey by SnuginaDub @etsyPoppy Talk - Message in an egg
This is a really cute idea for anyone! My only query is how to you dry out the inside? I guess the airing cupboard would sort that out with a sleepover. I also doubt I would send it in the mail, as it would definitely turn up to the recipient smashed. I might make one for my beautiful boyfriend as an eggstra (heh) Easter present.. maybe even pop it inside his eggsisting Easter egg (I just can’t resist!).Wit & Whistle - DIY Chalkboard Mug
So. Much. Love. For. This. Maybe it is the photography and way it is presented, but this looks so homey and I want it! I did try doing the same with one of my window-sill jars but it wasn’t the right kind of paint for glass and just peeled off when I pulled off the tape. Sad times. I did revive the jar with a drip decoration which I will share with you later!

Dreamcatcher Necklace tutorial here.
If you’d like to know more about the history of Dreamcatchers, this may be a good place to start at Native Technology & Art (and there are other links about Dreamcatchers on that page).

I have been having lots of vivid and not all nice dreams recently, maybe this is the way to go. I know dreamcatchers used to work when I was little

Oh my that is so cute.

Surely most of you have seen this poster circulating on one social website or another. For those of you that haven’t, all you need to do is type hello is it me you’re looking for into google and you’ll be provide with many pictures of Lionel Richie’s face.

Anyway, I decided to give the people of my neighbourhood a giggle on their way back from picking up their children from school, or for those walking down to the shop.
I was pleased to see that by 7 in the evening when I left to go to work, a few people had taken parts of the poster.
I took the poster down the day after and there was only 4 slips left!

All you need to do is:
• Get the picture by clicking here
• Print it from the webpage, or save it and print from Word
• Decide a prime location
• Stick it up, with sellotape or waterbased glue when no-one is looking!
