Making Facebook Covers for Redder
This was great to do this afternoon, seeing as I have had a little bit of experience making Facebook covers before (for myself) I was pleased when they put this on my plate for the day.First of all, Redder’s design was quick, simple and easy. To fit in with the rest of their social media, I used a similar design to their Twitter page. Though to stop the jpeg-ing around the octopus, I had to blur out the background to smooth it.
Secondly, I took the design from Idency’s website as the general inspiration, which seemed to serve me well. I was slightly worried about Facebook then squishing it down and making it that horrible jpeg-y mish-mash. But thankfully I was quite lucky and jpeg-ing is minimal.
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Bristol UWE have finally managed to liaise with the program leader of the Web Design course and changed their offer from Computing (G401) to Web Design (G452)
I am full of anticipation, excitement and nerves of going back into education and being a student. I am really pleased they didn’t want an interview or see my portfolio, not because I couldn’t provide one but it just shows that my application was f***ing awesome.
I am very happy to say that The Old Fashioned Way blog has had a make over! Thank you to the very talented and super helpful Tegan, the blog now has a new sophisticated, easier to use theme and looks just fab!
Over the next couple of days I will be adding tags to every post on the blog, making searching easier!

To kick start my 30 Days Of Creativity I have submitted a simplified, but customize-able version of the theme I have had on my website for a week or so. (Click here to view the theme) For some reason, submitting a theme for moderation was quite a biggy for me. I assume that is because whenever I look into getting involved in making a website or logo for someone, anything that requires me to interpret someone else’s ideas and make something of them.. I feel this weight of responsibility on my shoulders. But all the people I aspire to: The Darling Tree and Hrrrthrrr to name just a couple, put themselves out there and must deal with that responsibility on a day to day basis.
Anyway, back on topic. I will be doing something everyday, it might be a photoshop brush, or a photograph or just a collect of objects I have found that day. I just feel I need to expand my creativity a little.

A few days a go, I did a bit of CSS playing with a friends prediction form. He didn’t like it, but I really do.
On the note of designing the internet, thelovelyfox has had yet another makeover. This time its to stay put, for a while at least ;) My inspiration for the change was Design*Sponge’s website, with the 3 columns. I haven’t made the most of mine yet, but I plan to be adding some CSS + HTML resources which will be featured.
I have cemented a lot of knowledge today, as I started from scratch to have full control and not to be constrained by the old design. I needed to get away from the garish pink background and get something sleeker. I think its neat, but still portrays me and my colourfulness + personality which is what I was after.
ps. I sent of my UCAS application, finally the ball is rolling

The Life and Evolution of The Lovely Fox
For portfolio and reflection purposes, I’m just doing a little post on the new addition to TLF; The Nav Bar! I have been toying with the idea for a few days, not quite sure how to execute it. I have been looking on other craft websites, blogspot what have you, and have found that tabs look rather neat. So I gave it a bash and it looks nice. Tried to bring in my trusty yellow-green-pink-blue-orange theme with the a:hover. Not completely sure what to do with my sidebar now, and what content to have >.< PS. APPRECIATE THE INCEPTION
This is the plan I drew up on Thursday at 1am before settling down to sleep. I couldn’t get to sleep until I had spat it all out onto paper to preserve the ideas. I am really proud that for once, once in my life, I have managed to keep to a plan and execute it perfectly!

I know some designers put their ideas together in Photoshop, with the different layers, but I need to spit it out with random annotations and squiggles here and there. Hand-drawn plans are the way forward.
made is neater + cleaner. I was wondering if you would just hope over to have a look & see if anything looks out of the ordinary. It looks completely fine in all the browsers I have got on my laptop, but something might be different on your computer.
If you see something that doesn’t look right, please let me know
